Recycle your old Mobile Phone and Help Stop the Ringing

Recycle your old mobile phone with Greener Solutions and the BTA will receive a £2.50 donation per phone
Mobile phones are typically used for just 18 months before being replaced. Estimates suggest about 40 million phones, weighing about 20,000 tonnes are retired annually. Most of them will initially be stored away in cupboards and drawers. Phones and batteries contain toxic substances that are harmful when released into the air, earth or water.
When you recycle your mobile phone you provide an affordable first-time communications device to people in the developing world, improving local economies, quality of life and personal safety. Phones that cannot be put into re-use are recycled for their components, saving energy, which in turn reduces the production of greenhouse gases.
Greener solutions is a company focused on environmental practices associated with mobile phone recycling. It also works with charitable organisations helping them to raise money and awareness. You can visit their website www.greenersolutions.com to find out more.
It’s easy to do too, if you have a phone or phones, please contact the BTA for a FREEPOST envelope for each phone, remove the sim card from the phone, put the phone in the envelope and simply post it! if you would like us to send you an envelope or envelopes (one envelope fits one phone), you can call us on 0114 250 9933 or email info@tinnitus.org.uk with your name and postal address. It’s that easy!
